This necklace is 20.5" long without the pendant. The massive pendant is 2.5" long and 2" wide; it is a rare large specimen of blue Dominican amber. Honey-colored in regular light, it displays beautiful hints of blue when the sun rays are falling at it at a special angle, and sometimes it also shows a hint of blue in the electric light. In UV light, it is of intense blue color. The simple but elegant bail is sterling silver, The necklace itself is made of rare Rovno amber from Ukraine put together with silver-plated sponge nugget beads. An unusual piece. A dragon clasp completes the necklace.
